Prep 3 - 6: Écris-Moi!

We were lucky enough this week to have a visit from Onatti Productions with their brilliant and very funny bi-lingual play for KS2 children Écris-Moi!

The performers were fantastic and really made the show accessible to all the children from Prep 3 to Prep 6. The children were able to understand exactly what was going on, were taught some new words and even got to join in with the dialogue and also the action, as the whole audience was transformed into the streets of Paris, complete with monuments!

Petit Déjeuner Français

We had our first French breakfast of the year on Friday. The weather held out and it was a beautiful crisp morning. Mrs Groom and her team again did us proud with a feast of croissants, pains au chocolat, chocolat chaud, café and jus d'orange. It was lovely to see lots of new pupils and their parents there and I am looking forward to all our French activities this year. Next Monday 26th September is the European Day of Languages and we will be celebrating with a French Storytelling Session for Forms 1 - 6, hosted by the Freshwater Theatre Company, followed by a day in Boulogne on the Wednesday for Preps 3 and 4. All very exciting!

Prep 3 - Prep 6: The World's Gone French!

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Onatti Productions this morning who performed The World's Gone French! for Prep 3 - Prep 6. The play was partly in French and partly in English and as well as being hugely entertaining, gave the children an opportunity to learn and revise lots of useful vocabulary. The acting was great and the children were engaged from beginning to end. Lizzie in 4W told me afterwards that she wanted to watch the whole play over again!
Thanks Onatti and see you next year!
