Nursery - Prep 6: French Breakfast September 2013

We had lovely weather on Friday morning for our French Breakfast. Lots of parents, children and staff enjoyed croissants, pains au chocolat, coffee and hot chocolate and joined Mr Jones in singing Frère Jacques, accompanied by Laurie on the trumpet. Many thanks to Mrs Groom and her team for another early start and all their hard work.

French Breakfast 28th September 2012

Our final event to mark European Day of Languages last week was our regular French Breakfast on Friday morning. Despite all the rain in recent weeks, the weather held and we had lots of customers for our croissants and pains au chocolat. Another big merci to Mrs Groom and her team for looking after everyone so well, and to all the parents and children who supported the languages department by coming. The proceeds will, as usual, help subsidise future French trips.

French Breakfast 22nd June 2012

Thank you so much to all the parents who braved the intermittent rain on Friday morning for our final French breakfast of the year. We were able to raise lots of money for future French trips by selling the usual breakfast of croissants, pains au chocolat, jus d'orange, chocolat chaud, thé and café. Many thanks to Mrs Groom and her team and to all the staff who kindly helped out. I particularly enjoyed hearing Mr Jones playing La Marseillaise on the trombone and trying out some of the French he learned on our trip to the Château. Our next breakfast will be in September.

Petit Déjeuner Français

We had our first French breakfast of the year on Friday. The weather held out and it was a beautiful crisp morning. Mrs Groom and her team again did us proud with a feast of croissants, pains au chocolat, chocolat chaud, café and jus d'orange. It was lovely to see lots of new pupils and their parents there and I am looking forward to all our French activities this year. Next Monday 26th September is the European Day of Languages and we will be celebrating with a French Storytelling Session for Forms 1 - 6, hosted by the Freshwater Theatre Company, followed by a day in Boulogne on the Wednesday for Preps 3 and 4. All very exciting!

The weather could not have been better for our last French Breakfast of the year. Children, parents and teachers sat at tables outside the school in the sun enjoying croissants, pains au chocolat, hot chocolate, orange juice and coffee. Many thanks to Mrs Groom and her team for their hard work!
