Nursery and Reception have both been learning the names of some fruits in French. We counted fruits on a fruity number puzzle, played fruit guessing games and watched the video below before having a go at singing the song. Reception also learnt why the apricot is the odd one out in the song - because it is masculine and the other fruits are feminine!
We have learnt the following fruits: une pomme, une orange, une prune, une pêche, une banane, une fraise, une poire, un citron, un abricot.

Reception, Form 1, Form 2: La Chenille Qui Fait Des Trous
I'm sure you've all read the English version of this, and Form 2 read it with me in French last year. Here you can hear and see the book read by a class of French children. I hope you enjoy it!

Form 1: Les fruits
I found this song all about fruit that Form 1 might enjoy as we have been learning the names of some fruit as part of our work on The Hungry Caterpillar. Which word means peach, and which word means apricot, do you think?
